The Search for Mr. Gino-o’s Ultimate Male Model 2024 reached its exciting finale on August 31, 2024, at the Grand Multicultural Entertainment Festival. The event, a collaborative effort between StarCentral Magazine, RGeM Promotions and Management, and Flagcom, celebrated diversity and talent in the modelling industry, providing a vibrant backdrop for the competition.

The judging panel featured a stellar lineup of industry experts, beginning with Olan Roque, an accomplished fashion designer with a rich background in tailoring and dressmaking. Having honed his craft at the Quezon City Polytechnic University, Olan gained international experience designing in Dubai, where he created stunning garments for celebrities and pageant candidates. As the Founding Chairman of One Designers Club (ODC), he continues to leave a remarkable imprint on the fashion world.

Joining him on the panel was Cole Nocera, a dedicated disability carer and assistant director for the National Australia Miss pageant. Cole also runs Mrs. South Regency International Pacific, bringing her unique perspective and experience in pageantry to the judging table.

René Rivas, a multi-award-winning fashion designer, artist extraordinaire, and renowned couture costume creator, completed the panel. Known for his breathtaking designs across film, theatre, opera, TV, and magazines, René’s work has been celebrated in prestigious events like Mardi Gras and the 2000 Sydney Olympics. A Hall of Fame awardee, LGBTQI+ icon, and international humanitarian, René’s contributions to the arts and multiculturalism in Australia earned him a Lifetime Achievement Award, cementing his status as a legendary figure in the fashion industry.

The competition featured seven outstanding contestants: Eman, Lester, Ram, Robert, Sha Bala, Henry, and Jupiter. Each contestant brought their own flair and talent to the stage, captivating both the audience and the judges with their unique presence and style.

Several standout moments emerged throughout the event. Eman was awarded Best in Theme Costume for his creative and striking outfit, while Robert impressed the judges with his confidence and charisma in the Beach Wear category, winning Best in Beach Wear. Jupiter took home the title of Best in Formal Wear with his elegance and poise, and Ram received the Designer’s Choice Award for his distinctive style and presentation.

As the excitement built, the judges announced Robert as the first runner-up, recognising his outstanding performance across the categories. Ultimately, it was Eman who claimed the coveted title of Mr. Gino-o’s Ultimate Male Model 2024. With his exceptional talent, style, and charisma, Eman stood out as the ideal choice for this prestigious honour, embodying the qualities of a true male model.

With the conclusion of this year’s search, all the finalists have proven themselves as rising stars in the modelling world. Congratulations to Eman and all the contestants for an unforgettable showcase of talent and diversity at the Grand Multicultural Entertainment Festival 2024.

Mr Gino-o recreates Barong Tagalog to look trendy and contemporary without losing the Cultural aesthetic of the Classic Barong. Mr Gino-o; Made For Men was created to promote Philippine products and materials, including abaca, jusi, pinya, banana fiber, inaul, inabel, and tinalak hand-woven cloths, designed and crafted by Filipinos tailored for the International market.

Each collection is based on the creative concept of Albie Prias.

They have created Mr Gino-o, Made For Men, to promote Filipino-designed men’s garments using Philippine-sourced materials designed and crafted by Filipino Designers and tailors.

Their purpose is to discover the uses of these materials in clothing, explore the artistic abilities of Filipinos, and, in turn, provide jobs and sources of income for the unemployed and unprivileged families.

The creation of the House of Filipino Designers under Mr. Gino O’s visionary leadership is a testament to the commitment to promoting Filipino-designed men’s garments. Utilizing locally sourced materials crafted by Filipino designers and tailors, this initiative seeks to showcase the artistic prowess of Filipinos while contributing to job creation and providing a source of income for underprivileged families.

Mr. Gino O’s latest releases—The Avante Garde, Traditional, and Wearable Collections—are more than just fashion statements. They are a tribute to the Wonders of the Ocean, advocating for the preservation of endangered coral reefs worldwide. The collection communicates a powerful message about environmental conservation through each meticulously designed piece.

Amidst the glitz and glamour of The Miss Mardi Gras International Queen 2024 Pageant, all eyes were on Mr. Gino-o as he unveiled his latest collection with a commanding presence. At the heart of this dazzling showcase stood the House of Filipino Designers, affectionately known as Mr. Gino-o, which offered a contemporary twist on the timeless Barong Tagalog.

Led by the visionary Albert Prias, the collection breathed new life into traditional Filipino attire, seamlessly blending cultural heritage with modern flair. This groundbreaking display of fashion finesse retained the essence of the Barong Tagalog while infusing it with a trendy and globally relevant aesthetic.

The vibrant evening of February 24th witnessed the Orion Function Center in Campsie, NSW, undergo a remarkable transformation into a captivating tapestry of color, talent, and celebration. Spearheaded by Flagcom & Friends, the orchestrators of The Miss Mardi Gras International Queen 2024 pageant, now in its 14th year, the event transcended mere beauty and talent to become a powerful platform addressing crucial issues within the LGBTQI+ community.
